What the P.Diddy Trial Has to Do With Body & Soul
Pop Culture, Satan and My Upcoming Bible Study
I once loved Jesus and pop culture. For years, I felt they could comfortably co-exist.
I was, after all, a psychology student, so learning about the latest in all things people in the news has been a lifelong fascination for me.
But about 10 years ago, I started losing interest. I began to see things that felt more concerning than cool. Even then, you’d have really had to be in denial to not see the satanic influence taking over fashion, music and movies.
This is not Bible beating, hype or overspiritualized frenzy. Gone are the 1980’s cassette tape back masking days (IYKYK) and tent revival preachers preaching out against video games. Now it’s literal onscreen seances, satanic hand symbols, pentagrams and chants, overtly in concerts and on the screen.
The P.Diddy trial has been said to go deeper than we really know. I’ve *heard a rumor that there was satanic worship involved in these wild parties he threw. This would in no way surprise me.
Because what is clear with or without that confirmation is that satan is already all over the activities that are well-documented in the news in this trial:
Both women and men were abused, degraded and exploited in both physical and emotional manners
Sex was performed outside of a marriage covenant
Human beings, created imago dei, were diminished and manipulated
The effect of violations against body and soul created deep wounds and formed compromise to people’s hearts, minds and souls
What we know from Scripture is that the thief (satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) We know he hates God, therefore he hates anyone who is created in God’s image (that’s all of us).
Wouldn’t it then make sense that he would want to steal from, kill, and destroy the body that God gave us?
Wouldn’t it make sense that he would want to distort our minds to see our own bodies and souls as objects that we would abuse them and abuse others?
Wouldn’t he love more than anything to get us to destroy our own bodies and by so doing, do his work for him?
These abuses by P.Diddy started somewhere. And then he passed the abuse on. This is how satan would love to see us literally self-destruct, body and soul.
Whether or not there were overt “satanic rituals” involved in these parties, we are certainly seeing satan’s plan for destruction at work, front and center in P.Diddy’s trial.
It is why the Body & Soul study is so crucial.
We need desperately to know that we are created Imago Dei and what that really means. Our sex life, our work life, our weight life, our exercise life, our rest life — our whole body life…is beloved in ways we have never really understood and known.
Know this: I’m coming for every lie the P.Diddy trial represents in our culture with Body & Soul.
The threads of what has led to all of the atrocities being reported in that courtroom has effected us all.
And they bear satan’s very fingerprints.
